Sales Engineer

The Sales Engineer will work directly with prospective clients as part of the overall business development team. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for demonstrating the operations and capabilities of the Piezo Motion product line. Documentation, presentations, drawing, and videos will be created by the sales engineer to prove to future customers that our solution would meet their needs thereby leading to new customer acquisition.

BACKGROUND ON PIEZO MOTION

Piezo Motion has developed the next-generation precision motor that is unique in the industry because of its competitive price point and unique selling propositions. The Piezo Motion is an advanced designer and manufacturer of precise motion and control technologies utilizing proprietary standing wave piezoelectric devices to create motors, actuators, and related control electronics and software. Our technology replaces historic motors and actuators where precision fast response, energy efficiency, lightweight, power density, and affordability for OEM applications are important considerations for product designers and engineers in all industries.

REPORTING TO: Chief Revenue Officer

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer specialized technical questions concerning our products and customer needs
  • Provide high-level engineering expertise to potential customers and partners
  • Work with Quality Manager and Engineering to resolve customer questions
  • Preparing and delivering technical presentations to potential new clients, partners
  • Preparing and delivering product presentations in online webinars or in person trade shows/event
  • Communicating with clients to understand their needs and offer solutions to their problems
  • Creating positive, long-lasting relationships with current and potential clients
  • Drafting White Papers and Technical Reference Notes for external use
  • Partner and new customer training
  • Understanding client needs and offering solutions and support; answering potential client questions and follow-up technical questions

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science with 5 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Precision electrical motor experience; piezo motor experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and presentation skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building meaningful relationships with clients
  • Extensive knowledge and the use of Salesforce (or similar CRM), Microsoft Office Suite, SolidWorks (or similar CAD)
  • Attention to detail and organization skills
  • Advanced decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Solutions for motion control projects
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and inquisitive
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Extremely organized with strong time-management skills
  • Ability to travel regularly
  • Ability to understand broad engineering terms
