Outside Sales Executive

The Outside Sales Executive role is for a proven technical sales individual that can grow a direct pipeline for precision motion control products in the US. The Sales Executive will be responsible for cultivating new opportunities for Piezo Motion’s precision motors and manage the sales process through to closing. The role requires the ability to add value during the sales process so a technical understanding of precision motion control is required and a proven track record working with product designers and engineers will be necessary.  


Piezo Motion has developed the next-generation precision motor that is unique in the industry because of its competitive price point and unique selling propositions. The Piezo Motion is an advanced designer and manufacturer of precise motion and control technologies utilizing proprietary standing wave piezoelectric devices to create motors, actuators, and related control electronics and software. Our technology replaces historic motors and actuators where precision fast response, energy efficiency, lightweight, power density and affordability for OEM applications are important considerations for product designers and engineers in all industries.

REPORTING TO: Chief Revenue Officer


  • Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities; coordinating business generation activities; developing customized targeted sales strategies
  • Preparing and delivering pitches and presentations to potential new clients
  • Communicating with clients to understand their needs and offer solutions to their problems
  • Creating positive, long-lasting relationships with current and potential clients
  • Understanding client needs and offering solutions and support; answering potential client questions and follow-up call questions
  • Collaborating with sales and leadership to secure, retain, and grow accounts
  • Creating informative presentations; presenting and delivering information to potential clients at client meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows, and online conferences
  • Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospect clients; maintaining a database (Salesforce) of prospective client information
  • Cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential clients; closing sales and working with the client through the closing process
  • Meeting all quotas for cold, active, inactive calls, appointments, and interviews; meeting or exceeding annual sales goals
  • Maintaining a pipeline of all sales administration using Salesforce software
  • Collaborating with management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting; maintaining short- and long-term business development plans


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science with 5 or more years of relevant experience.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building meaningful relationships with clients
  • Extensive knowledge of productivity tools and software

  • Advanced decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Existing network of related contacts in more or more industries that demand precision motion such as life sciences, semiconductor, robotics, laser, and photonics
  • Solutioning for motion control projects where piezo motors would be applicable
  • Ability to navigate and win deals against a quote
  • Advanced computer application skills in Microsoft Office and Salesforce (or similar CRM)
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and inquisitive
  • Extremely organized with strong time-management skills
  • Electrical Motor knowledge; piezo motor experience preferred
  • Ability to travel regularly
